We design and build audio racks, amplifier stands, speaker stands and video racks. We are a new company just getting started and may not have pictures of every item available but will update this site often posting pictures as various racks are built and sold.

Some options are already listed on the product pages and we can work with you to design and build a rack to your specifications. If you do not see something you want do not hesitate to drop us an email to discuss your needs. Every rack we build is custom made and can be modified to fit your exact specifications. Since every rack we sell is custom built delivery from the date of order will take between two and four weeks. Please be assured that every rack we build is a priority and we value every single customer. We send regular emails updating you on the status of your particular rack and the anticipated ship date.

AudioRak juxtaposes massive, rustic maple butcher block shelves with sleek, modern aluminum frames and chrome spikes to create a stunning piece of audio furniture.

The legs and shelf supports are made from 6105-T5 extruded aluminum T-slot material combining light weight with tremendous strength – the strength of equivalently sized carbon steel at one-third the weight.

The shelves are thick solid maple butcher block made by finger-jointing 1¼" to 1¾" wide 10” to 24” long pieces of clear Washington state maple that are then glued face-to-face to form an edge grain butcher block using water resistant urea resin glue. Shelves may be stained any color and are protected with several coats of satin polyurethane for a beautiful, strong, long lasting finish. Shelves are finished on all sides.

The entire rack stands on four 2⅛" tall chrome plated height adjustable brass spikes threaded directly into the legs while each lower shelf is independently supported on four smaller ⅝" chrome plated adjustable brass spikes. The optional oversized double-thick turntable / television platform available on the Model 1 and Model 2 sits on 1½" tall chrome plated height adjustable brass spikes threaded directly into the tops of the legs. These spikes and the included floor protector discs ensure a level, stable, strongly rooted rack whether used on wood, concrete or carpeted floors.

Maple butcher block is praised by audiophiles for being both dense and able to dampen vibration, the enemy of high end audio equipment and sound reproduction. The heavy maple butcher block shelves tightly coupled to the strong aluminum frame with the included brass spikes results in a clear stereo image, a spacious soundstage and a silent background.

AudioRak is available in three different models. Model 1 is DKM Design's top of the line rack featuring a heavy weight aluminum frame, four legs, X-shaped shelf supports and extra thick shelves. Model 1 is our strongest, heaviest and most expensive rack. Model 2 is identical in size and configuration to Model 1 but uses a lighter weight aluminum frame and thinner shelves. Model 3 features the same light weight aluminum frame and thinner shelves as Model 2 but stands on three legs with T-shaped shelf supports. Model 3 is our least expensive rack but gives up little in performance when compared to our Model 1 and 2. Whichever rack you choose you can be assured you will have a strong, handsome rack that will serve for many years to come.

Each of our three models is also available in single, double and triple widths. The double and triple width racks allow components to sit side by side or provide the shelf space required for large flat panel televisions.

DKM Design also makes SpeakeRak, the speaker stand companion to our AudioRak line. SpeakeRak is designed to hold your bookshelf or monitor type speakers at the perfect height for critical listening. SpeakeRak is custom sized to fit each individual speaker model and your listening position to place the tweeter at ear height.
